Katie is a board certified Physician Assistant with Kalamazoo Foot & Ankle Specialists in Portage and Three Rivers, MI.
Katie is a native of Rochester, MI. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University (WMU) in Kalamazoo, MI. During her time at WMU, Katie was a NCAA Division I Collegiate Gymnast and served as a team captain her junior and senior year.
Katie spent two years working as a Medical Assistant in Dermatology before pursuing her dream career as a Physician Assistant. Katie returned to WMU from 2021-2023 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Medicine, Physician Assistant Studies. We were fortunate enough to host her as a student during her clinical rotation year and after a short four weeks, we couldn’t imagine the future of the practice without her. She became a board certified Physician Assistant in August of 2023 and accepted her first position as a Podiatric/Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Physician Assistant with Kalamazoo Foot & Ankle Specialists immediately after. She has been working alongside Dr. Maskill since September of 2023 and has roles in the clinical setting as well as being first-assistant to Dr. Maskill in the operating room. She is also specialty trained in custom molded orthotic fitting and adjustments.
Katie believes in building strong patient-provider relationships based on trust, open communication and shared decision-making. She is dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to actively participate in their healthcare journey. She understands the impact that foot and ankle pain can have on daily life and is dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, comfort, and overall well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys wakesurfing, pickleball, spending time on the golf course with her Fiancé, Chase, and spending time with friends & family!
