Michael Maskill, DPM graduated from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Chicago Medical School and completed a foot and ankle surgical residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his training with a highly competitive foot and ankle fellowship in Portland, ME under the direction of Dr. Gregory Pomeroy, MD. He received extensive exposure to the complete spectrum of foot and ankle disorders which includes the operative and non operative management of traumatic, degenerative, sports, rheumatoid and diabetic foot, pediatric flatfoot deformities, cavovarus foot, removal of foreign bodies, and trauma, including pediatric and adult fractures. He also provides custom orthotic management in the office setting. Dr. Maskill has many publications due to the extensive research he has performed and has been published on several topics including flatfoot deformity and cavovarus deformity. He is also a current member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is ABMS Board Certified in forefoot, hindfoot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Maskill is a native of Grand Rapids, MI. He moved to Kalamazoo, MI upon completion of his training and has now been in practice for 10 years. He been married to his wife, Jeanette, for 17 years and they have two daughters, Bevin and Kenzie. He enjoys wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and downhill skiing.
